Re: [Salon] The GOP Budget Resolution spends enough $ to increase in the debt from $36 trillion to $56 trillion over the next 10 years

Massie is a typical libertarian: "yay for tax cuts!," for Plurocrats, and f*** everyone else. It's not an accident that libertarians like Massie and Ron Paul are cheering on Musk and Doge, like Massie here:

DOGE is on a collision course with the Uniparty. It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m here for it, literally.

DOGE is every fake fiscal conservative’s worst nightmare.

So that Musk can keep more of the money he will make here:

And Paul does here:

While both, along with other prominent "budget hawks" such as David Stockman and this email list and its sponsor, work in the the most important domain of politics, "mythmaking," through historical falsification/revisionism (read your Orwell), in tirelessly promoting the Republicans/Conservatives as "Peacemakers." With everyone on this email list who ever had to deal with war fanatics such as Buckley, Burnham, Kendall, Goldwater, Helms, East, know G-D well they were always clamoring for war, long before their NeoCon offspring joined them in that. That's not to defend the right-wing Goldwater Democrats so numerous today, but to call for at least a slight bit of historical honesty, which is solely lacking here. How many people noticed that all along, our POTUS made clear he wasn't cutting off arms supplies to Ukraine to carry on the war he himself escalated in 2017, but only demanding a cut of the wealth in Ukraine, and demanding that the EU carry the war to Russia, so we can focus on war against Iran and China, with the former coming soon by indications. With yesterday, we have everything the Republicans wanted: Europe in a lather to defend Ukraine with an escalation of war against Russia, the mineral deal still waiting for us, to help fund our war preparations and coming wars against Iran and China and the series of Wars of Pacification becoming inevitable.

Here is what in fact, they work for, using variations of the "Wilson's War" meme continuously as "perception management" to absolve the Conservatives/Republicans of any responsibility for our wars of the last 127 years, in displacing on to the Democrats all blame as the "War Party," even though, in every case, regardless of who POTUS was, "Conservatives/Republicans were always the "lead party" for war and colonial expansionism, with WW II only distinguishable as there were so many Conservatives who wanted Germany to wins! Like Orwell said of James Burnham.

Meanwhile, with Massie and "libertarian" minded Republicans putting a patina of opposition to our wars, the Republicans relentlessly increase our military spending to astronomical levels, while media platforms such as The American Conservative cheers DOGE, as they destroy our country!

BLUF: "A debate is brewing in Congress over the future of the defense budget as Republicans look to add up to $150 billion more to the existing $850 billion budget at the same time the Pentagon is reportedly weighing a massive cut.
. . .

"The statement suggested the review is meant to reallocate funding, rather than cut the overall budget, and Hegseth, in a video posted to social media Thursday night, denounced media reports of a cut. But the Pentagon has not publicly released Hegseth's memo."

It was always clear that this "cut" was never a "cut," but only a reallocation of funds from things like DEI, to the Iron Dome, dependent on guess who to get all those satellites into space!

The GOP Budget Resolution that passed the House this week increases the debt limit from $36 trillion to $40 trillion, and spends enough $ to increase in the debt from $36 trillion to $56 trillion over the next 10 years. But yay for tax cuts!

I’m the only Republican who voted no.
